Rates

Longarm Rate

I charge 2 cents per square inch, no matter the design density.

Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .02 = $96.

My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.

Batting

I use and stock my favorite Quilters Dream batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend and 100% cotton. I am happy to special order a Quilters Dream batting for you if you prefer another variety.

Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.

I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen rolls of batting except in the case of special orders.  I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin) and charge per inch.

For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.
65" of 100% cotton deluxe loft at $0.40/in = $26.00
65" of 100% cotton select loft at $0.35/in = $22.75
65" of 80/20 cotton/poly blend at $0.30/in = $19.50

Thread

I stock Glide (#40 & #50 weight) threads. I don't charge any extra fees for thread use, it's included in your square inch price.
My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color.

Binding

I offer complete quilt finishing services and will make, attach, and finish your binding for you if you wish!

  • Trimming and adding victory lap stay stitch around perimeter: FREE! This is optional and 100% your choice but I do not charge extra to trim your quilt.
  • Trim, make, and attach binding to front of quilt for you to finish hand binding at home: $15 for baby/throw sizes, $20 for bed sizes
  • Trim, make, attach, and finish binding by machine: $25 for baby/throw sizes, $40 for bed sizes
  • Trim, make, attach, and finish binding by hand: $35 for baby/throw sizes, $50 for bed sizes

Shipping

Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in east Texas, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.  I love if you send me the tracking information so I can stalk the delivery person for your beautiful quilt top to arrive!

Return Shipping: I offer free return shipping on all mail in quilts! This comes with the standard insurance coverage. If you would prefer to add more insurance, please let me know and I can give you that price at shipping time!

Payment

After the work is complete, I will invoice you via PayPal. I really do appreciate timely payments as that enables me to mail your project(s) back to you right away. Local customers can pay by cash or Venmo.
